Digital Identity provider Condatis has been a long-standing supporter of the Think Digital Identity for Government conference, sharing insight on how they deliver employee, customer and partner identity and access management solutions for both the public and private sectors. On the eve of next week’s event we caught up with Cameron Bell, Government and Public Services IAM lead at Condatis on their preparations.

Hi Cameron, So what are you looking forward to about the event and meeting the UK government teams.

It’s a unique chance to meet and talk with digital leaders who are currently driving identity transformation inside their respective departments. Day to day, it can be easy to focus on the specific programs we are delivering within client organisations and the Think Digital Identity for Government event is a great way to get a view of the identity challenges being faced government-wide.

Without giving too much away can you give us a little hint on what you might be covering in your session at Think Digital Identity for Government.

I’ll be talking about some of the lessons we learned from our inter-Covid deployment of the NHS Digital Staff Passport, utilizing an innovative hybrid federated/decentralized solution. I’ll also be touching on how the increasingly mature technical expectations of end-users are impacting the solutions we deliver and how we deliver them.

As a supplier what would you like to see the government focus on over the net 12 months regarding digital identity initiatives?

The common priorities we are seeing for 2024 are the need to migrate manifold consuming services to a Single Sign On. The continued drive to implement MFA, specifically for critical applications and the desire to provide a unified approach to identity and access management, joiner mover leaver functionality and ID governance in complex, multi-cloud, and legacy environments.

You will be able to speak with Cameron and the Condatis team at next weeks conference. You can still register to attend the conference here.
