Forming effective partnerships
I thought it was very useful. I gained an overall view of the current state of cloud computing and different views going forward. The panel sessions were interesting and there seemed to be a good show of cloud users on display which hopefully would grow larger.
Venue was good and food was great!
Yes my objectives were fully met. The event provided me a good oversight to the Digital Marketplace, its advantages and how to use it. The event was well organised, well presented and I particularly welcomed participation from the audience during panel sessions. I enjoyed the day.
I attend quite a few IT conferences and THINK Digital is certainly one of the best in terms of both its presenters, content and the format of the day.
I found the conference was run very professionally and the content informative. The senior delegate overviews of the Digital Marketplace were especially useful from strategic and political perspectives. Our company has made good progress with new business as an SME on G-Cloud over the past 2 years and the conference helped me to understand in more detail, how we can utilise G-Cloud to develop our business further.
My entire ICT Category Management Procurement team attended the event. We all found it very engaging, relevant and informative.
In particular the inclusion of speakers from other local authorities and the low level of “hard sell” from presenters from the market made it much more useful than other events.
What a great conference. The content was spot on in terms of the current government IT landscape. The speakers were knowledgeable, concise and even humorous on occasions. I had some good conversations with colleagues in other departments and am interested to see which predictions made on the day will come true over the coming months. I look forward to the next conference and will recommend to my colleagues.
I thought the event was excellent and it was great not only to attend an event outside of London but also so focussed on Local Government. I can honestly say it was one of the best events I have attended in the last couple of years. I liked the fact that most of the consultants were independent and so gave very honest viewpoints.
I found the conference to be very useful, particularly at a time when NEPO are transitioning our IT across to Google Cloud. I have a de-briefing session scheduled with our Head of Procurement next week to relay the discussion points and update on some key areas for consideration, all of which I have garnished from the conference. The format worked well, the speakers very fluid/engaging and the location very central. More than happy to promote further sessions to all our members.
This was the first event I have attended and I must say I thoroughly enjoyed it.
It was informative, I particularly liked the way you had a panel with a facilitator discussing certain subjects. It was very interesting to hear colleagues views and the directions they thought the “G-Cloud” should evolve and what was needed to make it better. Also the “vendor” view was interesting. The format was very good.
Personally I left the event enthused, being one of the 66% who have yet to sell on G-Cloud I’d attended to essentially decide whether or not to continue putting the required effort into G-Cloud. I can say that following my recommendation today, as an organisation we have committed to a further two iterations of G-Cloud along with a budget to support that commitment. I think it would have been good to hear from somebody who hadn’t sold on G-Cloud, but who had done everything right (I now know that our effort had fallen short) just to provide a balanced view.
