THINK DIGITAL IDENTITY FOR GOVERNMENT 2020 is almost here!

Details on speakers, panels and discussions at upcoming virtual event dedicated to digital identity – plus there’s still time to register

It’s now only a couple of days away from our first virtual Digital Identity event, Think Digital Identity for Government 2020.

This Thursday, November 12, we host around 20 fantastic speakers across nine sessions within a three-hour timeframe. These will include a government keynote, three panel sessions, five breakouts and a presentation of some of the findings of our Local Authority Digital Identity Survey.

We kick off with a government keynote from Hannah Rutter, deputy director of digital identity at DCMS. Rutter will be updating the delegates on the state of play of digital identity for the whole economy and include government plans for future policy development as well as considering the impact of COVID-19.

We have a session that considers the Identity and Attributes Exchange, where we hear the views of identity experts including Colin Wallis, director at identity industry group the Kantara Initiative, Andrew Bud CBE, who is CEO and founder at iProov, Benjamin Barnard, head of technology policy at think tank Policy Exchange, and Brain Glick, editor in chief at Computer Weekly.

During the morning we will be revealing the findings of our Local Authority Digital Identity Survey. Discussing some of the key issues highlighted in the report will be Jessica Figueras, the analyst who conducted the research, Marc Power, sales director of survey sponsor Auth0, and Jon Graham, project manager at London Borough of Tower Hamlets, and one of the survey respondents.

We complete the day’s mainstream content with a session on the hotly debated topic of Open Banking and its appropriateness for government. This session will be hosted by TDP’s identity advisor Susan Morrow and we will hear the views of David Birch, ambassador for global consultancy, Consult Hyperion, Rob Kotlarz, co-founder of Digital Identity Net, and Till Wirth, head of platform at Truelayer and previously lead product manager for payments platform GOV.UK Pay.

Threaded neatly in between these sessions we also have five breakout sessions which are led by our commercial partners: Accenture, Auth0, Avoco Secure, iProove and LexisNexis Risk Solutions. The topics in these session vary from key learnings from deploying face verification for international governments, to data and intelligence being the biggest weapon against identity theft, to ways in which local councils can facilitate verified citizen transactions using Open Banking practices.

You can still register to attend this virtual conference and you will be able to make use of the new event app that we make available to all delegates, where you will find information of all conference speakers, the agenda, supplier partners, and where you can chat with fellow delegates and ask questions during the conference itself, before or after the event.

We hope you are able to participate and engage in what is a vitally important topic right now.
