Think Digital Identity for Government 2020 – update

New virtual event for Think Digital Identity for Government 2020, and new event dates

Posted 7 October 2020 by

As you may have been aware, we at Think Digital Partners, were hoping to proceed with our plans to hold our annual Cybersecurity and Identity conferences this year.

But with the latest announcements regarding COVID-19 restrictions, we have decided instead to host a taster virtual event focusing on Digital Identity. This will take four sessions from the agenda, plus an additional one, and run with them in a digital format.

The virtual event agenda for the Think Digital Identity for Government 2020 is now:

A Government keynote:

Hannah Rutter, Deputy Director, Digital Identity at DCMS

The local authority digital identity survey:

• Caroline Copley, Head of Digital Identity (Whitehall) at DCMS
• Mark Power, Sales Director UKI at Auth0
• Jessica Figueras, Founder Hither Ventures
• Local Government leader to be announced

The Identity & Attributes Exchange:

Host – Colin Wallis, Director at Kantara Institute

Speakers to be announced

Open Banking, is it fit for government?

Host – Susan Morrow – Head of R&D at Avoco Secure

Demo breakouts:

Delegates will have the choice of attending a demo presentation of one of our partners

This conference will also be our first using the new delegate app. All registrants will be sent an email confirmation with a link to download the app. The app will have all the information required for the event, agenda, speakers, sponsors, chat features for delegates to network, the ability to ask questions before, during or after the event, arrange meetings and generally get more engaged with the conference from start to finish.

We are really looking forward to reporting on the findings of our Local Authority Digital Identity Survey. After working on the questions with some of the Digital Identity unit at DCMS we are keen to share our findings, but we still want to hear from you. The survey is open for 10 more days, so please email us if you haven’t received your survey invitation and we can email you a link to be involved.

The good news is that both Think Digital Partners conferences will still happen – they are now rescheduled for spring 2021. The Identity conference had been moved from November 12 to April 21, 2021 and the Cybersecurity event from December 1 to May 11, 2021.

Once again you will be able to use the app to find travel options to the venue, find hotels close to the conference or even inform us of your dietary information.

We will run an update at the start of next week for the upcoming Cybersecurity conference.
