Kantara Initiative operates conformity assessment, assurance and grant of Trust Marks against de-jure standards under its Trust Framework program whilst in parallel nurturing ‘beyond-the-state-of-the-art’ ideas and developing specifications to transform the state of digital identity and personal data agency domains.
It’s a community that ‘does’ not just ‘talks about doing’. Through current unique initiatives such as 3rd party assessed assurance for NIST SP 800-63-3, the set of standardized OAuth extensions known as User Managed Access (EIC Award Winner for Innovation in Information Security 2014) and Consent Receipt (exampled in Annex B of DIS ISO/IEC 29184 Online privacy notices and consent and ISO/IEC 27560 Consent record information structure) together with facilitated R&D grants, Kantara attracts a global, open, and transparent leadership community. ‘Nurture, Develop, Operate – that’s what we do.
Previous thought-leading work ahead of its time such as Consent and Information Sharing, Consent Management Solutions, Identity Relationship Management, Identities of Things and Blockchain and Smart Contracts still resonates globally today
