Inverclyde Council has selected TechnologyOne to deliver a major cloud-based upgrade of its finance systems as part of a wider digital transformation programme.
The Scottish local authority, which serves more than 78,000 residents, will implement TechnologyOne’s OneCouncil Financials and Enterprise Cash Receipting solutions to replace its existing finance platform and modernise core financial operations.
The investment forms part of the council’s Digital Customer Service Strategy, with the new platform designed to strengthen financial management, improve reporting and support more efficient service delivery.
TechnologyOne’s UK-hosted SaaS+ platform will provide a cloud-based environment for finance and income management, enabling real-time reporting, automated workflows and data-driven decision making. The company said its implementation model uses preconfigured solutions and full delivery accountability to reduce deployment times and minimise reliance on third-party consultancies.
The new system is also expected to support business continuity, hybrid working, governance and compliance, while simplifying financial processes across the organisation.

The council said consolidating multiple systems onto a single enterprise resource planning (ERP) platform will improve financial visibility, strengthen governance controls and enhance experiences for employees, suppliers and residents.
OneCouncil is TechnologyOne’s integrated ERP platform for UK local government, covering finance, procurement, budgeting, HR and payroll, asset management, income management and content management, with embedded analytics across the platform.
Expansion across UK public sector
The deal continues TechnologyOne’s expansion across the UK public sector, particularly in Scotland, where the company already works with councils including West Dunbartonshire, Highland, Clackmannanshire and East Lothian.
According to TechnologyOne, more than 70 local government organisations across Scotland, England, Wales and Northern Ireland now use its platform.
