‘Pre-election period of sensitivity’ results in conference postponements

Both Think Data for Government and Think Digital Identity and Cybersecurity for Government have been postponed to later in the year

Posted 28 May 2024 by Matt Stanley

When the Prime Minister, Rishi Sunak called for a July 4th general election he took everyone by surprise, the media, the opposition and all event organisers who were expecting an election in the second half of 2024. With almost immediate effect the government enters a ‘pre-election period of sensitivity,’ which means that all civil servants are unable to participate in external events including the two conferences we had scheduled for June 5th and 11th

We have been able to secure new dates for the two conferences that we have postponed. Think Data for government will now be held on Thursday September 12th, whilst Think Digital Identity and Cybersecurity for Government will now take place on Thursday October 24th. Both conferences will be held at the brilliant venue that we always use, One Great George Street in Westminster, London.

All speakers, sponsors and delegates already registered have been informed of the new date. If you have already registered to attend the conference your registration will be carried over to the new date. We hope that most delegates can make the new date but If you can’t, please do let us know as we will cancel your ticket to allow someone else to attend in your place.

Here are the dates for the conferences for the rest of 2024 with links for you to register to attend if you haven’t already booked your place.

Think Data for Government – September 12th

Think Digital Identity and Cybersecurity for Government – October 24th

Think Digital Government – November 19th

Think Data for Government – December 4th

Apologies again for these postponements and we look forward to seeing you again later in the year.
