Digital agency dxw has bolstered its public sector offerings with the acquisition Neontribe.

Having previously partnered on projects including the recent creation of a new user-centred website for The Judiciary, Neontribe said the time was right to join dxw.

In a statement, dxw said: “As agencies with aligned values, similar ways of working and a shared commitment to their people, this transition unlocks new opportunities to reach organisations working for public good. In coming together, dxw and Neontrible will share expertise and resources to increase their impact and deliver more digital services that improve lives.”

In September 2021 dxw announced a move to become employee-owned. Dave Mann, CEO at dxw said this gives the company the freedom to join forces with “talented like-minded organisations.”

He said: “With Neontribe on board, we believe we are even better placed to pursue our mission to improve public services and help organisations enhance the way they work. dxw and Neontribe share the same values based on a collective culture and vision to improve the lives of people who rely on public and third sector services, supported by a user-centred and agile approach. We are stronger together and excited about what the future holds.”

Neontribe will retain its brand identity and working practices with clients going forward. The founders and directors of Neontribe will continue working as part of the agency team, which will operate alongside dxw’s existing Delivery, GovPress and Strategy units.

“Having worked with dxw over the years, we know the quality of the work we can do together,” said Harry Harrold, director at Neontribe. “We understand how to create and run multidisciplinary teams that make an impact. Working in the best interests of service users is at the core of everything we do and, as part of the dxw family, we are even better placed to make that happen and help those who need it most.”
