Next Tuesday sees the return of the Think Data for Government conference the very successful programme focusing on the various aspects of data and public services With a brilliantly composed agenda full of insightful topics and interesting discussion points to get everybody thinking the day is already looking like having a very positive impact across the public sector. Our primary host on the day is our long term friend and technology advisor Jessica Figueras, founder of Hither Strategy.

We are very pleased to confirm that 27 of the 30 speakers participating in this conference will be attending the conference in person, which is the perfect opportunity for our delegates to ask questions and and network with these experts.

We begin the day with a panel session on one of the current hot topics, Building Data Capability. The whole day is packed with fantastic speakers from the first session to the last; in this session we hear from data leaders from the Office for National Statistics, The Scottish Government and DWP Digital.

We then have two fascinating sessions, the first from our headline sponsors Okta and Somerford Associates who discuss automated lifecycle management and API first strategies while accessing a range of data sets. This is then followed up by a session led by our partners at Made Tech on Open, shared and sustainable data to support decision making.

After the break we return with three brilliant sessions; the first on Data for Levelling up with speakers from the Department for Levelling Up, Housing & Communities, the Local Government Association and the Greater Manchester Combined Authority. The second session focuses on Towards responsible Innovation with speakers from the Government Digital Service, DWP Digital and the Centre for Data Ethics and Innovation. The final session before lunch considers The Future of Health and Social Care is Data, with speakers from the Care Quality Commission, NHS National Services Scotland and Public Health Wales. These sessions will be chaired by co-host Gavin Freeguard.

After an always very enjoyable lunch, the afternoon begins with a fireside chat with one of the great leaders in data in the healthcare sector Johanna Hutchinson from the UK Health Security Agency. This is followed up by an interesting panel session on Biometrics with speakers from the Home Office and Ada Lovelace Institute. We then move onto Data, Dashboards and Decisions session which asks the question, is there more to evidence based decision making than the humble dashboard? This session features speakers from the UK Health Security Agency, the conference co-host Gavin Freeguard and recognised data author Andy Cotgreave from Tableau. Our final session of the day considers how the government can best use Data to respond to the cost of living crisis and we are lucky to have speakers that include Paul Lodge, chief data office at DWP, along with Karrie Liu from Hypatia Analytics Ltd and Morag Campsie from Audit Scotland.

There is still time to register for the conference and join the 350 plus delegates already registered to attend. Register here.
