At 10.15 on December 9th, the doors open on the the next instalment of the Cybersecurity for Government conference programme.

Diversity panellists

Cybersecurity and the government have always been intrinsically linked. Cybersecurity threats against local and central government continue to test both resources and stamina. Now, more than ever, there is a need for vendors and government to come together to find the best way to tackle sophisticated and complex cybercrime. The Think Cybersecurity for Government conference program is designed to build bridges across this government-vendor ecosystem.

To create value, we speak directly to government cybersecurity professionals to establish their specific needs; this helps build a symbiotic relationship for the buyers and the suppliers which means we can inform cybersecurity suppliers on the service delivery and technology requirements and expectations of the government community.  We will also connect to the wider cybersecurity supplier community to ensure we deliver relevant content to develop knowledge and aid decision making.

As always there is a jam packed agenda covering many of the hot topics across cybersecurity. There are 5 great panel sessions across the day including;

  • People Matter: Why people must be part of the cyber solution
  • Ransomware: Building an integrated response
  • How to ensure Diversity in Cybersecurity across the public sector
  • What cyber lessons can the government learn from listening to the private sector?
  • How can the government step up to the challenges it faces from the modern cybercriminal?

As well as the above panel sessions there are also have some great presentations from leading figures in the cybersecurity industry including:

  • State of flux: How CIOs can effectively manage uncertainty and change
  • Supporting the Scottish cyber sector
  • Why cyber risk management is so hard
  • UK Cyber Security Council update
  • A genetic approach to supply chain security – understanding code reuse

With a great range of speakers from across central and local government, cybersecurity industry bodies, technology trade associations, analyst firms, universities and the supplier community this conference is perfectly placed to share some great insight to its online delegation.

You still have time to register to attend and even if you can’t make the full day, all registered delegates will be able to review the recorded content for up to 6 months after the conference via a link shared post event. You can register here.

We hope to see you on the 9th.
