Public sector specialist Q Associates is expanding its digital services capability with the acquisition of cloud and network services specialist Apex Group.
The combined company will employ around 80 staff, with turnover in the region of £35 million.
Q Associates provides technology services to more than 350 public sector and government-funded organisations across the UK. It also works with 18 of the 24 Russell Group universities and most of the UK Research Innovation councils.
Apex, meanwhile, has extensive Local Authority and NHS experience, which will complement NHS COVID-19 Critical Supplier Q Associates’ Local Authority and NHS Trust market presence.

The firm says that Bracknell-based Apex will complement Q Associates’ datacentre infrastructure and data management solutions. In addition to networking capabilities encompassing LAN, WAN and WiFi, Apex offers a range of cloud migration and integration services with expertise around Microsoft Azure Cloud, Modern Workplace, Business Applications and Data Analytics.
