As the new Government dots all the ‘i’s and crosses its last ‘t’s on its to-do list from last month’s General Election, MP for Horsham Jeremy Quin has just been named Parliamentary Secretary for the Cabinet Office.

Quin’s portfolio of responsibilities include oversight of GDS, the Government Digital Service, cyber and resilience, and the Government Security Group.

Commenting on his appointment, the new Minister notes on his website that, “I am greatly honoured to have been appointed to serve as a Minister (Parliamentary Under Secretary) in the Cabinet Office. Oliver Dowden continues to serve as Cabinet Office Minister.

“As ‘Minister for Implementation’ the role is at the heart of the Government and I am delighted to be supporting the Prime Minister in driving forward the Government’s ambitious agenda and ensuring our machinery of Government is optimised to deliver for the country.”
