And they’re almost off!

As rumoured, the Government has confirmed that the latest – 11th – iteration of its cloud-based IT products and services framework, G-Cloud, will be open for vendor applications on Monday, March 25 – with a predicted the award date of July 2019.

The news came via a tweet from the Crown Commercial Service yesterday morning, which is directing interested commercial organisations to this application website.

It’s also expected that suppliers will be able to update pricing and new suppliers can join.

Emina Demiri-Watson of well-known G-Cloud process experts Advice Cloud told channel magazine CRN that it welcomed the news: “We are pleased that CCS has continued with releasing new iterations annually, [given that] the tech market changes so quickly.

“This is a chance for new innovative companies, particularly SMEs, to join the framework.

“It is also a brilliant opportunity for existing suppliers to make positive changes to their listings and to add new products. It’s all hands on deck here.”

G-Cloud 11 was actually expected last month, but the news is still going to be very welcome in the UK tech SME space – and we wish all entrants the very best of British securing both a place and great new public sector IT work!
