The Home Office has confirmed a report that the go-live date for the Emergency Services Network (ESN) has been pushed back at least five months into early 2018.
The scheme, which is technically ambitious and timescale-challenging, was due to go live in the first region, the North-West, in September 2017. It is understood that the Home Office has chosen to agree an extended timetable covering the design, build, test and assurance of the system and devices by five months, taking the go-live and transition date potentially up to March 2018.
