Delayed spend figures show total G-Cloud sales of £1.39bn

Spend through outgoing Digital Services Framework reaches £82.1m as of August 2016, with central government dominating Digital Marketplace demand

'British Money' by Bryan Jones on FlickrMonthly Digital Marketplace sales figures, updated for the first time since mid-July, have found total G-Cloud spend reached £1.39bn during the summer.

As of July 2016, G-Cloud spending rose from the £1.26bn recorded by June of the same year. Small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) received 54% – in value terms – of spending through the framework, which is used to obtain commodity cloud services.  This figure rose to 62% on a volume basis.
