It’s an intriguing idea, and maybe not what any of us was expecting – but could the Pandemic actually be a way to kick-start wider take-up of Digital Identity?

The idea is that a smartphone-based, Digital ID-supported on-going health check about a citizen’s Coronavirus status could be easily distributed and centrally updated – making it easier for authorities to support the (hopefully soon!) restart of the global economy than with static methods (lanyards or wristbands).
