Originating from research at Dutch fintech company Inverid (formerly known as InnoValor), ReadID is the leading NFC-based mobile identity verification solution.  It is rapidly adopted industries and application areas where fraud prevention is key, such as e-government, border control, banking, travel, and digital signing.

ReadID leverages what people already have: government-issued identity documents with contactless NFC chips and NFC-enabled smartphones. Reference customers include government agencies such as Home Office and GDS, AML compliance companies such as Thirdfort and TrustID, and banking institutions such as ING, Rabobank and ASB. ReadID was used in the EU settlement scheme, UK’s successful remote identity verification immigration programme.

NFC based identity verification disrupts the traditional way of remote identity verification through visual inspection: it is higly scalable, creates high conversion as it is instant for users, is much more secure and easy to use. Inverid is the world-leading NFC based identity verification provider. They can orchestrate with face verification (biometric) partners as well as optical verification partners as a fall-back for non-chipped identity documents.

Users do not need to be trained to verify authenticity. ReadID supports ICAO 9303 and ISO 18013 compliant identity documents, non-chipped documents can be verified through partners.
