Think Digital Identity for Government Speaker – Alison Walsh

The fourth of our speaker profiles for our November Digital Identity conference

Alison Walsh is the Business Readiness Lead for External Government Departments and Government Gateway Programme at HMRC
Alison joined HMRC in 1999 following some years in the Department for Work and Pensions.

She has held a variety of leadership posts ranging from Operational Delivery in tax credits, Personal Tax and Contact Centre management and for the last 8 years has worked in transformational change/PPM. Alison was SRO for the successful development of tax credits on line renewals and as Programme Manager continued to lead the digital transformation in tax credits.

Alison currently works on Government Gateway Transformation Programme as Business Readiness lead for external government departments.

Alison will be speaking with Cheryl Stephens of DWP and Paul Heskins of HMRC on the Cross Government Identity Panel. This key panel session will examine progress across Whitehall departments, both large and small, Local Government and the NHS and discuss reasons for achievement and any barriers to progress. Departments and agencies taking part will include DWP, HMRC and DVLA.
